Applications:

1. Used as binder and aluminum source for molecular sieve synthesis in petrochemical and refining catalyst industry.

Pseudoboehmite is mainly used as a binder for catalytic cracking catalyst. As a binder, Pseudo-diaspore can not only improve the strength of catalyst, but also adjust the pore size distribution of catalyst, improve the thermal and hydrothermal stability of catalyst, adjust the density of acid active center of catalyst, and improve the catalytic activity. It can be used as binder for semi-synthetic rare earth Y type molecular sieve cracking catalyst, binder for aluminum silicate refractory fiber, catalyst for alcohol dehydration to produce ethylene and reoxyethane , etc. It can also be used as raw material for the production of catalyst carrier, activated alumina and other silico-aluminate.

2. Used as catalyst carrier.

Pseudoboehmite is widely used as catalyst carrier for chemical, oil refining and petrochemical reactions. Its typical examples are hydrorefining catalyst carrier, reforming catalyst carrier, methanation catalyst carrier and so on. Pseudo-boehmite can also be used as catalyst after dehydration to become γ -alumina. γ -Al2O3 calcined at 400 ~ 700℃ is widely used as catalyst carrier, catalyst and adsorbent.

3. Used as ceramic corundum abrasive.
